On April 30, it was announced that to ensure seamless road transportation services across the country during the May Day holiday, the Road Network Monitoring and Emergency Response Center of the Ministry of Transport, in conjunction with the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security, the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration, the Planning and Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and technology giants such as Qianfang Technology, Gaode Maps, and Baidu Maps, jointly held a consultation on holiday road network operations. The consultation highlighted a notable surge in the traffic of new energy vehicles, anticipated to comprise nearly 20% of the daily average total traffic volume during the holiday. This represents a significant increase compared to 13.3% during the same period in 2024 and 16.4% during the 2025 Spring Festival.
