BYD has inaugurated its first production facility for new energy vehicles in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Spanning an area of 12 hectares, the factory boasts a total investment of US$32 million. In the initial phase, it will focus on manufacturing pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, with an anticipated annual production capacity of 10,000 units. Production is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
