In response to engine failures, General Motors has initiated a worldwide recall of 721,000 SUVs and pickup trucks from the 2021-2024 model years. This includes popular models like the Cadillac Escalade and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, with approximately 600,000 vehicles impacted in the U.S. market alone. These vehicles suffer from manufacturing defects in their connecting rods and crankshafts, potentially causing engine failure and elevating the risk of accidents.
