In 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled pivotal directives for automotive standardization, underscoring the proactive approach to standard research in avant-garde sectors. These directives emphasize the necessity to dissect and evaluate the evolution of cutting-edge technologies and their potential application landscapes, thereby delineating the trajectory for future automotive standardization. Consequently, the Ministry will spearhead the development and dissemination of standard subsystems encompassing automotive artificial intelligence, solid-state batteries, electric vehicle battery swapping, among others. Additionally, it will embark on the establishment of standard systems in nascent domains such as data governance and application. Concurrently, the Ministry will advance exploratory research on standardization requirements for novel business models, including flying cars, with the aim of guiding and bolstering the innovative advancement of new technologies, business formats, and models.
