On the inaugural day of the Shanghai Auto Show on April 23, GAC AION and Didi Chuxing jointly revealed the world's first mass-produced L4 highly autonomous driving vehicle. This groundbreaking model, based on the GAC AION Y Tyrannosaurus, is equipped with an impressive 33 sensors, significantly surpassing the industry standard of 20, to fulfill the stringent demands of L4 autonomous driving. Notably, it features 10 LiDARs, providing 360° coverage with no blind spots and a detection range extending up to 200 meters. Furthermore, the vehicle boasts a central brain with a formidable computing power of 2000 TOPS, complemented by a multi-layered safety redundancy backup system, ensuring unparalleled driving safety. Mass production and delivery of this innovative vehicle are slated for the end of this year.
