Land Rover has triumphantly announced the completion of the second phase of extreme cold weather testing for its pure electric Range Rover prototype in Northern Europe, covering an impressive 72,420 kilometers. This extensive testing regimen has rigorously pushed the system to its limits, expediting the journey towards mass production. At the heart of these tests lies the ThermAssist thermal management system, which boasts a 40% reduction in heating energy consumption and leverages heat recovery to enhance range in temperatures as low as -10°C. The all-electric Range Rover will feature an advanced 117kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, delivering a power output that effortlessly surpasses that of V8 engine models.
