The Ministry of Transport, alongside nine other departments, has jointly issued guiding opinions aimed at fostering the integrated development of transportation and energy. These opinions advocate for the promotion of innovative models and the nurturing of emerging industries. Specifically, they propose aggregating resources such as distributed power supplies, electric vehicles (EVs), and charging (or swapping) facilities to establish virtual power plants within the transportation sector. Concurrently, the guidance emphasizes the innovation of business models, such as vehicle-electricity separation, and the development of emerging sectors like battery asset management and financial leasing of new energy transportation equipment. Furthermore, it aims to create an innovative platform that intelligently integrates vehicles, stations, charging piles, and networks. Additionally, the opinions underscore the importance of deepening the integration of new energy vehicles with smart energy, intelligent transportation, and smart cities, thereby fostering the innovative evolution of a new, vehicle-centric ecosystem.
