A recent study has highlighted that a significant 44% of Tesla owners in the United States have encountered intentional damage to their vehicles, with the average repair bill amounting to approximately $1,900. Notably, 72% of these owners perceive Teslas as being more prone to vandalism compared to other car brands. Despite these challenges, a resilient 66% of owners remain willing to recommend Tesla to their friends. However, the negative perceptions surrounding Tesla ownership have also led to a change in behavior, with 37% of owners reducing their sharing of Tesla-related content on social media due to fears of backlash or judgment.
