In the afternoon of April 24, He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), disclosed at a regular press conference that following the video meeting between Minister Wang Wentao and Commissioner Šefčovič of the European Commission for Trade and Economic Security on April 8, the technical teams from China and the EU have maintained close communication regarding electric vehicle price commitments, trade, and investment cooperation. This collaboration has resulted in an accelerated negotiation process. China expressed its desire to collaborate with the EU in addressing economic and trade frictions through dialogue and consultation, thereby deepening bilateral cooperation and infusing greater stability and positive momentum into both the China-EU and global economies.
