At the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 23, Li Bin, Chairman of NIO, clarified that the company does not perceive supercharging and battery swapping as competing technologies. Instead, NIO embraces an inclusive energy strategy that encompasses charging, swapping, and upgrading capabilities. Li stressed that despite NIO's pioneering efforts in battery swapping, the company is also a leading player in establishing charging infrastructure. With over 26,000 charging piles nationwide, more than 80% of the electricity supplied by these stations serves non-NIO vehicle owners. This strategic deployment is designed to offer users a seamless and efficient charging experience.
