However, he pledged to continue dedicating one or two days per week to government affairs until the conclusion of President Trump's term. Musk emphasized that the bulk of his tasks at DOGE had been accomplished, enabling him to channel more of his efforts into Tesla in the coming months. As per regulations governing "special government employees," Musk's service within a calendar year is capped at 130 days.
