On April 23, the opening day of the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Zhu Jiangming, Chairman of Leapmotor, announced that the company anticipates overseas sales to reach between 50,000 and 80,000 vehicles this year. Zhu underscored the importance of Chinese automakers adopting a localized strategy for global expansion. Earlier, on April 18, Stellantis Group and Leapmotor jointly announced the launch of a localized assembly project in Malaysia, with an initial investment of 5 million euros. The project aims to commence local production of their first model, the C10, by the end of 2025.
