On April 23, at the 2025 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, Li Bin, the founder of NIO, revealed that the company's latest smart electric vehicle, the Firefly, will make its global debut in 16 countries spanning five continents this year. Having been launched on April 19 and commenced deliveries on April 29, the Shanghai Auto Show served as the Firefly's inaugural appearance at an international motor show, where it was showcased alongside other esteemed NIO models.
