On April 22, Huawei proudly introduced the Kunlun Intelligent Driving ADS4.0 system in Shanghai. This latest iteration comprises four distinct editions: the ADS SE Basic Edition, the ADS Pro Enhanced Edition, the ADS Max Advanced Edition, and the flagship ADS Ultra Edition, which officially endorses high-speed L3 commercial applications. The ADS4.0 system incorporates a novel WEWA technical architecture, seamlessly integrating a cloud-based world engine with an in-vehicle world behavior model. This innovation has led to a remarkable 50% reduction in end-to-end latency, a 20% boost in traffic efficiency, and a notable 30% decline in hard braking instances. In terms of safety, ADS4.0 offers a robust collision prevention system encompassing forward, lateral, and rear AEB functionalities. Furthermore, the system is augmented with high-precision solid-state LiDAR and a comprehensive in-cabin laser vision sensor, significantly enhancing perception accuracy. The Park-to-Park (P2P) 2.0 feature now supports seamless navigation through high-speed ETC toll gates and multi-level valet parking. By the conclusion of June, the valet parking functionality will extend its reach to encompass 500,000 parking lots nationwide.
