On April 22, the Passenger Car Association unveiled the February 2025 Insight Report on Intelligent Connected Vehicles. According to the report, the overall installation rate of AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) in passenger cars from January to February stood at 56.5%, with models priced between 160,000 and 240,000 yuan boasting an impressive 70.2% penetration. This indicates a robust performance but also underscores potential for further expansion. Notably, the AEB installation rate in the new energy passenger car segment has surged to 62.9%. Nonetheless, despite this rapid growth, the AEB function faces the risk of failure due to stringent trigger conditions, as evidenced by recent accidents involving some manufacturers. In response, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently emphasized that all automakers must refrain from exaggerating the capabilities of intelligent driving features, signaling the dawn of the "era of strict supervision" for the intelligent driving industry.
