Furthermore, Trump has specified categories such as beef, rice, aquatic products, and potatoes, for which he desires expanded exports to Japan. Additionally, he is insisting on the removal of all non-tariff barriers. This comes after the United States has already imposed tariffs on Japan's steel, automotive, and other industries. According to an analysis by Nomura Research Institute, if the United States imposes "reciprocal tariffs" on Japan, Japan's GDP could potentially decline by 0.59%.
