On April 19, 2025, VietJet Air, with two C909 aircraft wet-leased from Chengdu Airlines, officially launched the "Hanoi-Con Dao-Ho Chi Minh City" route, heralding the commencement of commercial operations for Chinese-made commercial aircraft in Vietnam. To date, three international airlines have introduced 15 C909 routes across Southeast Asia, serving over 250,000 passengers.
