Among Tesla models, the insurance cost for the Model Y has surged by 29%, with an annual average cost nearing $4,000. The Model 3 and Model X have also experienced hikes of 24% and 22%, respectively. This substantial rise in Tesla's insurance premiums is primarily attributed to the high repair costs stemming from its non-modular battery pack design.
