Passenger car exports totaled 391,000 units in March, marking an 8% decline from the same period last year but a robust 10% increase from the previous month. From January to March, cumulative exports amounted to 1.12 million units, registering a modest 1% year-on-year growth. Notably, new energy vehicles constituted 36.6% of the total exports. Exports of independent brands reached 340,000 units, up 1% year-on-year, whereas joint ventures and luxury brands exported 47,000 units, experiencing a significant 45% year-on-year drop.
