The United States government has recently slapped a 25% tariff on all imported vehicles, with additional tariffs on key automotive components like engines and transmissions set to take effect from May 3. As per S&P data, US new car sales are projected to hit 16.035 million by 2024, out of which 8.7 million will be domestically produced, comprising 54% of the market, and 7.33 million will be imported, accounting for the remaining 46%.
