A resident of Xianyang, Shaanxi, shared a video depicting a peculiar incident involving ZTO Express's "Ninebot Unmanned Vehicle." While making a delivery, the vehicle's left front wheel became entangled with an electric bike lying on the ground. Despite this, the unmanned vehicle did not halt and continued to move forward. This occurrence has sparked widespread public concern regarding the safety of such autonomous delivery systems. Jiushi Intelligent Technology Company has issued a response, stating that the vehicle's safety system automatically activated a defense mechanism, which slowed the vehicle down and applied brakes, resulting in no injuries. The involved vehicle has been temporarily taken out of service and is actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
