On the afternoon of March 30, NIO officially released a statement addressing an issue with the accelerator pedal reported by a user in Beijing. Following an inspection by the technical team, it was concluded that the malfunction arose when the accelerator pedal was subjected to an upward pulling force, leading to a disengagement of its mechanical structure, but without causing any breakage. NIO emphasized that such a scenario would not arise under normal driving conditions. The affected pedal has since been repaired, and the vehicle's performance remains unaffected. NIO is actively engaging with the user to investigate the specific cause of the external force-induced disengagement.
