On March 28, Shenzhen embarked on a substantial vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction test, engaging more than 17,000 electric vehicles across 760 charging stations citywide, with a total of 18,000 charging piles. This test achieved an interactive power of 88,000 kWh. A unique feature of this initiative is that car owners can sell their surplus power back to the grid, earning a substantial 4 yuan per kWh. Considering the off-peak charging cost of just 0.4 yuan per kWh, car owners stand to make a profit of 3.6 yuan per kWh, highlighting the economic benefits of V2G technology.
