On March 29, Qin Haixiang, the Vice Minister of China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, disclosed at the China Electric Vehicle 100 Forum (2025) that the Ministry is vigorously promoting the harmonious development of smart city infrastructure with intelligent and connected vehicles. In pursuit of this goal, a national standard named "Technical Standards for Intelligent and Connected Infrastructure on Urban Roads" has been established, and a pilot initiative for the integrated utilization of intelligent and connected vehicles, roads, and cloud systems is being actively progressed. This endeavor seeks to diversify the application environments of intelligent and connected vehicles within urban settings. Qin Haixiang emphasized that the synergetic development between automobiles and cities harbors immense growth potential, with both entities now accelerating along a path of mutual support, transformation, upgrading, and integrated development.
