During the China Electric Vehicle Hundred People Forum 2025, Xin Guobin, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced that they will expedite the industrialization of autonomous driving technology. This includes advancing pilot programs for the introduction and road travel of intelligent connected vehicles, refining the standard system, and granting conditional approval for the production of L3 autonomous driving models. Additionally, MIIT will push for the enhancement of laws and regulations, such as those related to road traffic safety insurance, in order to further solidify and broaden the competitive edge of China's automotive industry.
