In February 2025, Chinese automakers saw a decline in their market share in the European electric vehicle (EV) market, failing to capitalize on the resurgence in demand. Meanwhile, established brands such as Volkswagen led the sales surge. According to data from Dataforce, an automotive research firm, only 6.9% of the EVs registered in Europe that month were manufactured by Chinese companies. This figure not only fell below the 7.8% recorded in January but also marked the lowest share since February 2023.
