Hyundai Motor Group celebrated the grand opening of its latest electric vehicle facility, Metaplant America (HMGMA), in Ellabell, Georgia, on Wednesday, local time. Spanning an impressive 11.83 million square meters, the plant boasts an initial annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles, with ambitious plans to scale this up to 500,000 units in the future. Hyundai Motor Group emphasized that HMGMA will serve as a pivotal strategic production hub, propelling the company's global expansion and playing a crucial role in shaping the future of mobility. Upon the completion of this facility, Hyundai Motor Group's total annual production capacity in the United States will surge to 1 million vehicles.
