On March 25th, XPeng Motors announced its intention to introduce at least five extended-range models, spanning both sedans and SUVs, among them the extended-range versions of the P7 and G6. The initial extended-range model, set to be based on the X9, is anticipated to commence mass production in the latter half of this year. Furthermore, models with extended range will also be rolled out on the E, F, and H platforms, with an anticipated market launch in the coming two years. Looking ahead, XPeng's new vehicle lineup will predominantly feature a dual-power configuration, combining extended-range and pure electric capabilities. It is noteworthy that during internal strategic discussions held towards the end of 2022, XPeng deliberated on low-price strategies and alternative power forms before ultimately deciding on a low-price approach and introducing MONA.
