On March 25th, Hyundai Motor Group revealed its ambitious plan to inject $21 billion into the United States economy by 2028. The investment breakdown includes $8.6 billion dedicated to automotive production, $6.1 billion allocated to components, logistics, and steel, and $6.3 billion targeted towards future industries and energy initiatives. As part of this strategy, Hyundai Motor's electric vehicle factory in Georgia, HMGMA, will see its annual production capacity expand by 200,000 units, elevating the total annual output of its U.S. facilities to 1.2 million units. Furthermore, the group plans to establish an electric arc furnace steel plant in Louisiana, aimed at producing low-carbon automotive steel plates.
