Nezha Auto currently finds itself in a precarious financial situation, grappling with challenges that include disbanding its R&D team, dealing with supplier debt collections, and implementing employee pay cuts. In an effort to ease the financial strain, the company aims to utilize a "debt-for-equity swap" strategy to lighten its debt load and actively pursues new funding avenues. Despite securing a 2.15 billion yuan credit line in Thailand, its domestic factories have come to a complete standstill due to capital chain disruptions. Since 2024, Nezha Auto has been beleaguered by negative headlines, and its listing process has been severely impeded, amassing cumulative losses exceeding 18 billion yuan over the past three years.
Looking ahead, the company plans to pivot its focus towards technological innovation and overseas market expansion, aiming to reverse its fortunes and stabilize its position in the automotive industry.
