Tesla has initiated a recall of 46,096 Cybertrucks in the United States due to a safety concern where the stainless steel exterior trim panels along the roof edge might detach during operation, posing a potential road hazard and elevating the risk of traffic accidents. This recall specifically targets the 2024 and 2025 models of the Cybertruck manufactured between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025. Tesla will replace the affected components at no cost to the owners. It's worth noting that, in the first three quarters of 2024, Tesla's recalls in the US constituted 21% of the total recalls, although the majority of these issues were resolvable through Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. Following the recall announcement, Tesla's stock price remained relatively stable in pre-market trading.
