On March 9th, Virgin Group announced its intention to raise £700 million (approximately $900 million USD) to launch a cross-Channel rail service, aiming to rival Eurostar. Initially, this service will link London, Paris, and Brussels, with plans for potential future expansion to Amsterdam. With this initiative, Virgin Group, which previously operated intercity train services in the UK, marks its return to the cross-Channel rail market.
