On March 10th, the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) issued a report projecting a 0.5% decline in global automobile production to 93.95 million vehicles in 2024. This downturn is primarily attributed to Japanese automakers grappling with quality certification challenges, resulting in an 8.5% drop in domestic automobile production. South Korea, impacted by sluggish domestic demand last year, experienced a 2.7% decrease in automobile production to 4.13 million vehicles, placing it seventh globally. China, the United States, Japan, and India have maintained their top four positions in automobile production for four consecutive years, collectively accounting for 59.7% of global production.
