Finn Thomassen, Ford's European Communications Manager, has announced that production of the iconic Focus model will officially come to a halt in November this year. Currently, consumers still have the opportunity to customize new Focus cars, but orders are imminently closing, with only remaining inventory vehicles available thereafter. In a strategic shift, Jim Farley, Ford's CEO, has stated that the company intends to exit unprofitable automotive segments and concentrate on more lucrative models such as the Bronco, Raptor, and Mustang, with aspirations to become the Porsche of the off-road vehicle market. Notably, Ford is not entirely abandoning the small car segment; it plans to continue its presence in the small electric vehicle space following the launch of a series of four electric SUVs.
