On March 8, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) affirmed that the Ministry of Commerce's ruling on Canada's discriminatory restrictions against China in the automotive sector adheres to WTO regulations and aims to uphold industrial development. The association stands firmly behind this decision. Canada, by violating WTO principles and mindlessly joining the tariff escalation trend, has jeopardized the security and stability of the global automotive industry's chain and supply chain, obstructed normal economic and trade cooperation between China and Canada in the automotive sector, and significantly harmed the interests of local Canadian consumers. The CAAM strongly condemns these actions.
