NPC Deputy He Xiaopeng recently highlighted the rapid evolution of the automotive industry chain towards the low-altitude economy, fueled by policy initiatives. Xiaopeng Motors, aiming to become the pioneering global entity in mass-producing and delivering flying cars, plans to commence mass production of its modular flying car, dubbed the 'land-based aircraft carrier,' in 2026. Furthermore, Xiaopeng intends to integrate vehicle control with AI technology to develop an advanced aircraft-based control system. Notably, construction of the mass production facility for the 'land-based aircraft carrier' commenced in Guangzhou in October 2024, and the company secured over 3,000 pre-orders at the CES 2025 exhibition.
