The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has unveiled the "Technical Guidelines for the Management of Product Access, Recall, and Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Upgrades for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles" today. The "Guidelines" underscore the importance for enterprises to clearly delineate the system boundaries of driving assistance functions, encompassing road types, infrastructure, weather conditions, and interactions with other road users. This ensures that intelligent and connected vehicles are capable of detecting and responding to these defined boundaries. Concurrently, enterprises are mandated to rigorously test and verify the system's boundary detection and response capabilities for their products.
