Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation have jointly issued a notice aimed at significantly strengthening the management of market access, recalls, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates for intelligent and connected vehicle products. The notice underscores that automobile manufacturers bear primary responsibility for product quality and safety. Manufacturers are required to enhance their capabilities in line with the "Technical Guidelines for Market Access, Recall, and Over-the-Air Software Updates of Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Products," ensuring the safety and compliance of both the vehicles and their OTA upgrade processes. This collaborative initiative aims to elevate the safety standards of intelligent and connected vehicles, safeguard public safety, and foster the high-quality development of the automotive industry.
