On February 27, news emerged from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announcing that the 2025 Annual Conference of the 5th National Technical Committee on Auto Standardization took place in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, on February 26. During the conference, the Committee deliberated on the "Key Points of Auto Standardization Work in 2025" and the blueprint for constructing the automotive industry's technical standard system during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. Attending experts engaged in thorough discussions encompassing standardization innovation in the new era, cross-sectoral standard harmonization, standard revisions in crucial areas, and the alignment of domestic and international standards and regulations. The conference's concluding remarks highlighted that in 2024, the National Auto Standardization Technical Committee had made notable achievements in auto standard system development, key area standard formulation, and international standards and regulations coordination. Looking ahead to 2025, the Committee vows to uphold the directives of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, consistently refining top-level design, accelerating standard research and development, enhancing cross-border collaboration, deepening international exchanges, and fostering high-quality development of the automotive industry through rigorous standards.
