On February 25, Tesla announced the rollout of its China-specific "Smart Driving Assistance" feature for Full Self-Driving (FSD) in the domestic market. Leveraging OTA technology, this functionality was swiftly deployed to vehicle owners within a week, with a select few already having the chance to experience it. By the evening of February 26, just a single test drive vehicle across four Tesla stores in Beijing had been upgraded with this new feature, resulting in a fully booked schedule for test drives. Furthermore, a handful of Tesla owners are capitalizing on the heightened interest by renting out their cars on second-hand platforms at premium prices, with daily rental fees reaching an astonishing 2,888 yuan. The majority of these renters are media professionals and individuals from the automotive industry, utilizing the cars for evaluation purposes and live streaming activities.
