BYD, in collaboration with DJI, will introduce the world's first vehicle-integrated in-car drone system on March 2. This groundbreaking innovation will initially be featured in the Yangwang U8 Off-Road Player Edition, which boasts an integrated automotive-grade drone bay designed for smart storage, automatic battery swapping, and efficient charging management. Users will experience seamless control of the drone through the vehicle's advanced infotainment system or a dedicated mobile app, enjoying capabilities such as one-touch takeoff and intelligent return. Furthermore, several upcoming models, including the Denza N9 and FANGCHENGBAO Titan 3, have also been planned to offer in-car drone versions. It's worth noting that the drone bay is situated on the roof, a design choice that may limit the vehicle's access to certain underground garages.
