Tesla has announced the phased rollout of the 2024.45.32.12 software update to its owners, marking the official debut of the Autopilot feature for urban environments. Early adopters have already completed the update and are sharing live-streamed real-time tests on short video platforms. In a road test conducted in Putian, Fujian, the Tesla vehicle seamlessly navigated after setting the destination, autonomously adjusting its speed to avoid obstacles in complex urban scenarios, smoothly changing lanes, and stopping at zebra crossings to yield to pedestrians. Notably, this update is exclusively available to owners who have purchased the Full Self-Driving (FSD) software and are equipped with HW4.0 chips. Owners with HW3.0 chips will receive the update at a later stage.
