This year, Xpeng Motors is set to achieve quasi-L3 and L3-level capabilities in intelligent driving, establishing a robust foundation for the evolution of its humanoid robot technology. The company's technological architecture will seamlessly integrate with humanoid robots, empowering them to swiftly learn and accumulate skills through the shared intelligent driving platform. Xpeng's robot project, IRON, aims to swiftly attain initial L3 capabilities and commence mass production, allowing robots to operate autonomously in a wide array of scenarios, requiring human oversight only in a limited number of complex situations. Xpeng has meticulously classified general robot capabilities into five levels, ranging from L1, which lacks autonomous control, to L5, which boasts full autonomy.
