Data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows that pure electric vehicle sales in September reached approximately 760,000 units, down 9.3% year-on-year but up 11.3% month-on-month. Plug-in hybrid vehicle sales came in at approximately 318,000 units, down 29.1% year-on-year but up 8.1% month-on-month. Cumulative new energy vehicle sales for 2026 totaled 7.495 million units, down 13.2% year-on-year.
