Recently, the team led by Professor Wei Xuezhe from the School of Automotive and Energy Engineering at Tongji University published a research paper titled "Early Warning of Thermal Runaway Based on Integrated Optical Fiber Sensing Battery Systems" in Nature Communications. Zhu Jiangong, Wolfgang Schade, Wei Xuezhe, and Dai Haifeng are co-corresponding authors. Tongji University is the first completing institution, with the German Fraunhofer research organization participating in the collaboration. The study proposed a multi-model collaborative early warning method for thermal runaway in battery systems, enhancing early warning capabilities through integrated optical fiber sensors.
