At the Automotive Industry Going Global Model Innovation and Development Conference hosted by the China EV100 Research Institute, multiple speakers noted that China's automotive industry is transitioning from a window of opportunity to a phase of capability validation in its global expansion. As export scale races toward the 10 million vehicle threshold, whether Chinese automakers can secure a firm foothold in overseas markets will depend on whether systemic capabilities—such as services, data, and supply chains—can keep pace simultaneously. Since the beginning of this year, China's automobile exports have maintained their high-growth momentum. Data shows that from January to September, China's vehicle exports reached 8.205 million units, a year-on-year increase of 65.8%, already surpassing last year's full-year export volume of 7.098 million units. Among these, exports of new energy vehicles reached 4.006 million units, a year-on-year increase of 127.9%, accounting for more than half of total vehicle exports for four consecutive months. Multiple industry institutions predict that China's automobile exports will exceed 10 million vehicles in 2026, setting a new historical high.
