On October 12, data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) revealed that in September, China exported 558,000 new energy passenger vehicles. This marked a significant 163.5% increase compared to the same period last year and a 7.7% rise from the previous month. These exports constituted 60.8% of the total passenger vehicle exports, a notable 21 percentage points higher than the same period in the previous year. Among them, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 60.5% of new energy vehicle exports. Although this proportion saw a slight decrease from 66.2% in the same period last year, A00+A0 grade BEVs represented 57.9% of BEV exports, surpassing the 49% recorded in the same period last year. As China's new energy vehicle sector continues to leverage its scale advantages and market demand expands, Chinese new energy brand products are increasingly making their way into international markets, with their overseas recognition steadily growing. Furthermore, narrowly defined plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) contributed to 34.2% of new energy vehicle exports, up by 3 percentage points from the same period last year. Meanwhile, extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) made up 5.3% of the exports, an increase of 2.9 percentage points from the same period last year.
