Data from Nanjing Customs reveals that during the first nine months of 2026, Taicang Port—the largest automobile export hub along the Yangtze River—achieved a historic milestone by exporting over 1.08 million cars. This marked the first time the port had ever surpassed the one-million mark, representing a remarkable year-on-year increase of over 80%. The exported vehicles reached markets in 168 countries and regions worldwide. Notably, approximately 160,000 cars were exported in September alone, setting a new monthly record. Furthermore, exports of new energy vehicles witnessed a significant growth, increasing by 1.1 times year-on-year.
