Dongchedi carried out a series of consecutive heavy braking tests on the Zunjie V800, only to find that all three test vehicles suffered from fractured brake pedal brackets. The testing team is convinced that this issue is not a random defect isolated to a single unit. According to the test data, the pedal force recorded at the moment of bracket fracture approached the upper limit specified by national standards. Upon disassembly, it was discovered that the brake pedal brackets in this model featured elongated force arms, inadequate reinforcement in the support structure, visible welding marks at the fracture points, and a generally weak design margin. Following the bracket fracture, the conventional foot brake lost its effectiveness, leaving only the P-gear (parking gear) as a means for emergency deceleration, which substantially prolonged the stopping distance. The Zunjie V800 is part of the Hongmeng Zhixing Zunjie series, produced by JAC Motors, and is slated for release in August 2026. Officially, it is marketed as having full-chain redundancy solutions for its eight core systems. As of now, neither Hongmeng Zhixing nor JAC Motors have published any investigation findings or issued an official statement regarding this matter.
