BMW has released the flagship performance variant M60 xDrive of the all-electric SUV iX3 based on the Neue Klasse platform, and this powertrain is also applied to the newly released SUV coupe model, the BMW iX4. The new car features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a maximum output of 604 horsepower and a peak torque of 645 pound-feet. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 149 mph, marking a significant performance improvement over both the standard version and comparable gasoline-powered models. Its combined range reaches 468 miles, equipped with a 108.7 kWh battery that supports fast charging up to 400 kW, demonstrating that the performance enhancements have not significantly compromised range. The chassis and handling come standard with multiple M-exclusive upgrades, while the exterior and interior have also undergone performance-oriented adjustments.
